This year, my allergies have been driving me absolutely crazy.

I don’t know if the pollen count is way higher this year than normal or what, but the fact is that it is making my life miserable.

I hate having allergies, and so I have really been on a bit of a quest to try and figure out different ways to help fix it. I looked into different sorts of medications, but then I started to think about ways to try and fix the indoor air quality in our house. Of course, the way to fix your indoor air quality is to talk to a qualified HVAC technician. I ended up calling and talking to a qualified HVAC technician at one of our local heating and cooling companies and he told me that he would suggest that we get a HEPA air filter for our air conditioning system. He said that certain types of HEPA air filters are rated to be allergen reducing and that could really help with the levels of pollen that might be getting into my ventilation system. He also mentioned that we might want to think about getting our air ducts professionally cleaned out, which I thought sounded like a good idea. However, the thing that sounded the best to me was something that he mentioned called a UV light air purification system. With one of these, you can set it up to run along with the same time as your heating and cooling system. It will keep dust, dirt, pollen, and allergens from getting into your ventilation system.
