The camera crew and the studio staff had endured a sweaty first week of summer.

The staff did not know when to expect the unit to function perfectly. One time during a show, they had to bring out the fan to keep the host from having sweat patches under her armpit. This had gone on for too long and the maintenance people had resorted to contacting the cooling specialist after they could not figure out the issue with the cooling system. When we got there, we first dealt with simple checks like cleaning out the air conditioning filter which was the washable filter type. The wifi thermostat was also in good condition. While my teammates were cleaning out the HVAC duct and repairing any leaks on the ductwork. The maintenance had foregone the a/c tune-up and was now dealing with an even bigger issue. The a/c setup had been done a couple of years back and it always seemed that the commercial AC was problematic after it had been switched off for some time during the winter and fall seasons. The initial installation of the central unit was in the basement but there was not enough airflow into the air duct and so when it was off, it collected a lot of dust. The quality air conditioner just needed to be re-fitted elsewhere. As an efficient HVAC serviceman, I had realized and fixed the issue. Now the studio staff could enjoy the perfect air conditioning. I even got a chance to watch the live show right in the studio. It was an amazing experience. The maintenance crew knew to always adhere to the maintenance of the unit at least once a year.
