Sometimes it’s tough to accept an HVAC upgrade

I try to approach my job in the best, most professional manner each and every day.

This would be the case if I was doing anything.

Whether I was cutting grass, brokering a merger or selling a house, I’d approach it with professionalism. Since I do sell houses, I find that this sort of style is the best to help people buying and selling homes. It’s the way I would want to be treated and that goes a long way in terms of how I treat others in my job. First, I don’t sit in a comfy, HVAC controlled office all day and work the phones. That’s what they make cell phones for. No, I get out there each day in order to be face to face with those I am serving. Yet, many of those I want to help simply have a very hard time accepting my help. That is more the case now that everyone considers themselves to be real estate experts thanks to TV. One of the biggest pushbacks I get from sellers is on the upgrades I suggest. The HVAC replacement conversation never goes really well. Many people are awfully protective of the home they are selling. And this is logical so I try to approach something like replacing the HVAC with some kindness and compassion. It’s best to start that conversation with facts and figures. In our area, new HVAC is a huge selling point because our big weather deal is the relentless heat. And it lasts longer than a few months in the summer. All serious buyers won’t even consider a home unless it has an up to date, efficient HVAC unit.
