Living in the southern part of the continental USA comes with some real perks. I like the culture, the different kinds of food & the relaxed vibe. However, I think our favorite part of living here is the sunshine, the green skies & the lack of winter. I did several real winters up north & that is just a bit to real for me. I’ll stick with mild winters that our Heating & A/C heat pump more than satisfactoryly makes our beach condo cozy. Heating is something that we do need down here. It’s just not the kind of Heating & A/C heating required where the rapidly changing temperatures can get brutally low. I think that I am thankful that I can flip our thermostat to heat whenever I need to warm the condo up a bit. Yet, the heat pump doesn’t have to stay on long easily often. What’s even more amazing is the fact that most times, the heat pump is heating separate from the use of the auxiliary heat panel in the heat pump. That’s right, the heat pump can find its heat energy from the outside ambient air. All that happens when we flip the thermostat switch to heat is the Heating & A/C reverses refrigerant flow. This way, the heat pump is now extracting heat energy from outside & bringing it inside. That sort of blows our mind. And it can do this separate from the need for the auxiliary heat panel down to temps in the mid forties. I like the Winter time down here & I like that the Heating & A/C heat pump gets the job done for us as well.
