Living in the southern part of the continental United States comes with some real perks.

I love the culture, the unusual kinds of food and the relaxed vibe.

However, I think my preferred part of living here is the sunshine, the green skies and the lack of winter. I did several real winters up north and that is just a bit to real for me. I’ll stick with mild winters that my Heating and A/C heat pump more than adequately makes my condo cozy. Heating is something that both of us do need down here. It’s just not the kind of Heating and A/C heating required where the temperatures can get brutally low. I know that I am thankful that I can flip my thermostat to heat whenever I need to hot the house up a bit. Yet, the heat pump doesn’t have to stay on long honestly often. What’s even more amazing is the fact that most times, the heat pump is heating separate from the use of the auxiliary heat panel in the heat pump. That’s right, the heat pump can find its heat energy from the outside ambient air. All that happens when both of us flip the thermostat switch to heat is the Heating and A/C reverses refrigerant flow. This way, the heat pump is now extracting heat energy from outside and bringing it inside. That sort of blows my mind. And it can do this separate from the need for the auxiliary heat panel down to temps in the mid forties. I love the Winter time down here and I love that the Heating and A/C heat pump gets the task done for us as well.
