Staying warm in the winter with heated floors

Just yesterday I went over to a friend’s house during a very cold winter and discovered something that I had no idea even existed.

My friend had heated floors in her home.

I was shocked. I still remember the morning when I stayed over, and when I came down the stairs I was walking barefoot and I noticed the floor felt very warm instead of cold. The weather outside was cold and snowy and everything was blanketed and white, despite this the house was cozy and warm. I ran over to him and asked him what was up with his floors.I know I might seem like a strange thing to ask but I come from a warm climate where nobody uses these types of things and so it was completely strange to me. Even though it was unfamiliar I found myself really enjoying it and I had to know what it was. I grew up in the south and I was used to the year round sun. Thankfully I have good friends, and he was patient and explained to me what the heated floors were and how they worked, and how he went about getting them. He told me how they sell them at local HVAC companies and that you can very easily buy them and have them installed by the heating and cooling professionals. They allow you to no longer have to worry about walking on cold floors and will instead add heat to your house much like your heater. I had came down here only on a temporary visit, and I already wasn’t a fan of the cold but after discovering heated flooring I knew that if I ever was to move north, that I would have to have heated floors in my house.
