Two months ago my dog cut his paw. I couldn’t figure out how he cut it. He was in the beach house and I was working from home. I got up for some water and I observed bloody footprints all through the house. The cut wasn’t disappointing enough for stitches. Instead I wrapped up the paw and then cleaned up the mess however I couldn’t figure out how he got cut. Then it happened again many afternoons ago. This time I heard a little yelp and I saw my dog beginning limping right away. I followed the bloody footprints backwards and found that the HVAC vent cover in the guest kitchen has a sharp area on it. One of the grill pieces is broken and bent upwards. I assume the bed leg went through it at 1 time. I wrapped the cat’s paw again and cleaned up the mess. Then I detachd the HVAC vent cover and closed off the guest kitchen. After work I went to a beach house improvement store and bought a up-to-date vent cover. It was not unquestionably high-priced. What was high-priced is taking my dog to the vet yupterday. The cut started looking infected so I had to pay for a vet visit and antibiotics. Additionally, my dog now acts afraid of HVAC vent covers. He won’t go anywhere near them. This is unlucky because he enjoys to lay over the HVAC vents. Hopefully he fully reclaims and his paw heals and he loses his fear of HVAC vent covers. I keep kicking myself because this all could have been avoided if I had just replaced the vent cover when it was first destructiond.
