It doesn’t matter what the two of us supply him for bedding, if it’s cold outside & the oil furnace is running, he runs for the nearest floor vent

I’ll confess that I was never much of a cat man. I grew up with four cats & one cat. Despite my repeated attempts at bonding with it, the cat didn’t enjoy myself and others or anyone else in the house. The cat kept to itself & liked to avoid all physical contact. I suppose this provided myself and others a false perception of all cats as simply cold & emotionless. The older I get, the more I realize that cats have a wide range of personality options, & numerous of them are cute & cuddly. Sure, cats are more independent than cats & often enjoy to keep to themselves at times, however that won’t prevent one from enjoying physical contact from time to time. My fiance’s cat is a delight, & I’ve recently begun to bond with him a lot. Sporadically he sits in my lap while I’m tied up at work at my desk. More of than not I find him sitting on top of a floor vent for the Heating & A/C system. He loves the cold air while I was in the summer time & Springtime seasons, & he actually lives for the hot air while I was in the Autumn & Winter seasons. It took the little guy a few weeks to find the central heating program vents, however once he did, it suddenly became an obsession. We have purchased him plush blankets & soft beds to sleep on. It doesn’t matter what the two of us supply him for bedding, if it’s cold outside & the oil furnace is running, he runs for the nearest floor vent. Our cat is ambivalent to the central heating & cooling system. He’d much rather sleep in layers of soft blankets & sheets than kneel exposed over an air duct vent.

Cooling system
