The jury is still out on the condo

We moved into a condo earlier this summer, and the jury is still out on whether or not I’m actually going to like living here or not.

I guess some of the stuff is good, like the way they take care of the yard and all of the leaf debris that comes down in the fall.

I always hated doing that when we lived in a regular residential neighborhood. The other thing I hated doing was taking care of the heating and cooling system and changing the air filters and things like that. Now that we are living in a condo, the condo association hires a local residential heating and cooling company to come in and take care of all the regular HVAC maintenance and repair work. I have to say that I really like that part of living in a condo. I have always hated having to worry about my furnace and my air conditioning system. My HVAC system is an absolute mystery to me and so I just don’t want to have to worry about it at all. The fact that someone else comes in and changes the air filters for me and checks out the heating and cooling system really makes me feel better about living here. I don’t especially like the fact that the condo association tries to tell me what to do with my yard and my mailbox and my front porch, but I guess that’s to be expected. It’s a tradeoff, but at least I don’t have to worry about my HVAC system anymore.
