I hate working from home. I miss going into the office every day and I find that I get super distracted when I’m trying to get anything done at my house. I guess it’s just one of those things that happens to people. Instead of doing my job, I start folding clothes or getting stuff ready for dinner or things like that. I know that a lot of people do like working from home but it’s just not my thing. I miss my cubicle and my computer and I really miss the rest of the people that are on my team in the office. Actually, the only good thing about working from home is the fact that I am the only one who is able to control the heating and cooling system. Whenever I’m in the office, it’s always hit or miss as to whether or not the indoor air quality is going to be okay or not. Sometimes the office is freezing and they have the air conditioning turned down to what feels like below freezing. That’s just during the summer, though. It’s hard to come inside after being in the hot temperatures outside and immediately feel like you’re walking into a freezer. In the winter, they keep the heating turned up so high it’s like working inside of a furnace. I think it’s even worse then because it’s impossible to cool off there when you’re too hot. I would much rather be too cold than too hot. At least when I’m working from my own house, I can be in charge of the temperature settings.
