I have suffered much of our life with a certain sort of depression.

It went untested for most of our life.

I would get so down while in the Winter or while in long stretches of cloudy, rainy weather. My parents would always simply urge me to snap out of it. They thought I just hated school or was bummed over a girl or something. This wasn’t it at all but it would take until I was in college to figure out what it was. I was finally tested with Sun Affected Disorder or commonly referred to as SAD. And that is not an Heating & A/C a/c problem! All it took for me to get better was sunshine. In the event that I could not get any sun, I had a special lamp that helped our mood remarkably. In the winter, I would crank up the Heating & A/C heating & turn on our lamp. So, that has been our normal for the last 25 years. But all that is getting ready to change. Due to some really lucky circumstances, I have been able to retire about 10 years early. So, I am moving to a region where the sunlight is far more abundant. What’s even better is the fact that I will have a room that is completely dedicated to our being able to remain in the sun. That’s right, I’m moving into a apartment with a sunroom. This way, even while in the moderate winter, I’ll be able to enjoy the benefits of afternoonlight for our mental health. However, I will need to do something about being able to cool the sunroom while in the heat of summer. I guess I will put in a mini cut Heating & A/C heating & cooling system.
