Those 2 made time for everybody. The beauty section of that was how people whose lives they touched always reciprocated in some way. It was about caring not some cynical deal. My folks had an annual tradition of providing a gift for each service person every one of us knew at the holidays. This was money they set aside, through the year, for this undoubtedly purpose. I don’t care for that we, as a civilization, have gotten away from little caring traditions care about this.
