There is too much heat, and too much humidity.
There is too much heat, and too much humidity.
I remember many times when I had to go to a laundromat to do my laundry.
I also remember when I used the sanctity of the laundromat to seek out heat and shelter.
Now that I am older, going to the laundromat makes me wince. I never wanted to need to use a laundromat and going there willingly is really upsetting me. I know I agreed to go on an RV expedition with my husband. He wanted to see the country. He wanted to do it in an RV. I have a heating system and I have air conditioning. The only thing I don’t have in this luxury RV is a washer and dryer. The first time I went into the laundromat, it wasn’t too bad. The air outside was comfortable and the doors were open. I was able to sit inside and read a book. As the summer progressed, so did the heat in the laundromats. There wasn’t one that didn’t have either too much air conditioning or too much. The heat and humidity was usually so off the charts, that there was no way I could stay there while my clothes washed and dried. I would sneak out to a small dafe and get coffee while enjoying their air conditioning. If there wasn’t a cafe or restaurant, I would get into the car and turn on the air conditioning for comfort. I know I can’t stand another summer of laundromats and RV camping. I’m going to need to talk to my husband. I could probably take a couple more months if he agrees to doing the laundry for me.
