It was a rather awkward experience the other day when I had an Heating, Ventilation & A/C worker come repair our cooling system. The cooling method was having all sorts of concerns, & the Heating, Ventilation & A/C worker was able to locate a refrigerant leak. He was able to repair the leak just wonderful & then he inspected refilling the refrigerant to the cooling system. When we were sitting at the kitchen table, I provided him some coffee. He was cheerful to have some coffee & then I was going over the cost of the services he performed to repair the cooling system. Everything looked wonderful & I was ready to pay the Heating, Ventilation & A/C worker for his work, however that’s when our wifey got lake house & came into the house. She said hello to us & asked what was going on. I explained that our cooling method was having concerns & the Heating, Ventilation & A/C worker just ran tests on the issue & I was ready to pay him for his services. The Heating, Ventilation & A/C worker said hello to our wifey & then told her congratulations on her pregnancy. I gave him a stunned look & she gave him a nasty look. When she said she wasn’t pregnant, the Heating, Ventilation & A/C worker’s face went bright red & he apologized. Then she started questioning him asking him if he was trying to say she was fat. I knew this was not a wonderful position for this Heating, Ventilation & A/C worker to be in because our wifey was clearly offended. I abruptly paid the guy for his services, & he said he didn’t know she was fat at all & was quick to leave, my wifey shook her head & said in a sad tone, “The nerve of that guy.”
