I have to travel every year up north to help my father out! He is a grape farmer plus picking season is in the fall. My father never has enough people on staff to handle picking plus needs to call me to lend in an extra pair of hands. I drive the picker, test sugar plus box the grapes for a few weeks. It is long thirds of back cutting work. I get hardly any sleep, no food plus bathroom breaks are few plus far between. What especially stinks is picking season is while we were in a northern fall. The fall weather could be charming, but it never is. Typically I can pick grapes in rain plus cold cold temperatures. I have even done a picking season in the snow before. The northern cold comes quick plus is serious. My parents are hardcore about heating as well, and despite it being cold cold, I think that the family heating system will not be running yet. They don’t run their heating system until Thanksgiving, no matter what. The 2 of them can handle temperatures as low as 60 degrees without even flinching. I am now a soft southern boy. When the temperatures drop to 69 plus below, on comes my heating system device. I don’t see the point in waiting. My parents however don’t want to call a Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C supplier to repair the heating system until later in the season. They also don’t want to pay for heating earlier in the year since their cold season is so long. I think I can understand that. In the south my Winter time cold is only about a few weeks.
