The A/C at my parents home has had to be replaced for so much use that half of the time a normal A/C would have to be replaced.

One thing I have l acquired about myself is that I can’t sleep if I am too hot. I suppose this goes back to when I was a little kid. I used to sleep in the crib with the fan running right next to my face and was not able to sleep separate from it, but my parents said that while in hurricanes, they would have to run a generator or have battery operated fans ready to go when the A/C would go out. My sister was the same way. Every one of us unquestionably were spoiled by the A/C when both of us were younger. My dad would always keep the thermostat certainly low and get mad whenever any of us adjusted it. The home my parents live in is not that big and the fact that the A/C is being replaced after only 5 years is insane! The Heating, Ventilation plus A/C serviceman told my dad to keep the temperature lower and he would have less maintenance and be able to use the A/C much longer. He agreed but as soon as the A/C was installed, he turned the temperature back down to 79 enjoy he always has, however sleeping with the A/C low is 1 of my preferred things to do. I enjoy the feeling I get after a unbelievable night’s rest.
