Moisture affects wood

My current hobby is making wood furniture, however i have even begun selling it and it may turn into a section time job.

I made our outdoor shed into a woodlaboring station.

I have all our tools, wood and nearly finished pieces in there. I just adore the process of breaking, measuring and designing a piece. I recently did some hunting around online and found an article about humidity affecting wood, however too much humidity in the air quality causes wood to swell! Not enough moisture in the air will cause wood to crack, but my shed is outside with no Heating and A/C or humidity control at all. I am now sad that our wood pieces may get destructiond in the upcoming moderate then chilly season; Adding a Heating and A/C equipment will be quite overpriced. I could get a ductless mini split, but then I have to pay for Heating and A/C installation and repair. I also will need to have an indoor air handler in an already small shed. I am wondering if I can get by simply with a dehumidifier and a humidifier. The shed is entirely tiny, so controlling the moisture in the air quality can’t be that hard. There are dehumidifiers and humidifiers that are portable and can just lay in a space. I can use the dehumidifier in the Summer to get rid of the sticky air. The humidifier can toil in the Winter when the air feels so dry and static filled. I don’t want to break too several corners though. If I lose out on all our wood, that will be quite overpriced.
