attics require more HVAC
attics require more HVAC
Have you ever personally owned a current home with a massive attic? My parents previously had a current home with a massive attic, and it was consistently really cool as children to explore.
There were nice, massive steps leading straight up to the attic, and when you walked in, it was super extravagant and very quiet.
I consistently wished that I could make a kitchen in the attic. It would definitely be greater than any kitchen in our house, and I would have more extra storage space than any other venue. The only unfortunate part for me is that the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C component wouldn’t work all that genuinely well in the attic, even though our attic is large, it definitely was never made to be a room. It is not properly insulated, and somehow, even if it was, it would be taxing to make into a room. During the middle of summer, our attic consistently feels more like a gas furnace. It is warm hot, and it is almost totally unbearable. Though we have windows where we could put a brand new window a/c, I don’t think that it would do a genuinely nice job of cooling any specific section that has such awful airflow and insulation. You honestly would have to do a lot of work to that attic to make an a/c effective. On the other hand, however, during the winter, the attic consistently feels much like the a/c is on full-blast! Our gas furnace doesn’t run to the attic, which sincerely means that I would have to rely on a space gas furnace to keep our entire massive current home warm. I’ll stick to my existing rooms!
