After I enjoyed a two week holiday on an island surrounded by amazing people and the ocean I have come home. I have spent our whole life living up in the north in the mountains where the temperature tends to stay pretty chilly most of the year, so coming beach condo after being in such a tropical temperature was an interesting transition even though I was gone only a couple weeks. A transition that I didn’t think I would appreciate so much! During those relaxing more than two weeks I had become accustomed to the tropical weather and having access to an equipment. When it was time to come home with none of that, I wanted to make our way back to the beach where I needed no coat and there was no such thing as shoveling snow out of the driveway. In fact, after returning home, I started looking online for hours looking at affordable houses near the beach that came with a beachy vibe and great air conditioning. Luckily for myself and others however, my longing for the beach only lasted for a few days until I started increasing back to our everyday activities of life, sure it’s great to be living by the ocean and all that, but there is also something really enjoyable about being up north in a sizzling and comfortable apartment with radiant flooring while snowflakes fall. A feeling such as that is not available to everyone to experience, and I am still thankful to be living where I am.
