I have probably lived a very sheltered life considering the fact that I have not used the bus much in my life! One can even call it a privileged life since I have always had a car every time I needed one.

Even as a kid, my parents preferred taking planes or riding bullet trains sometimes when my friends and I would travel out of state/ country with them. We never rode on buses because my parents had cars as alternatives. I would see the likes of Greyhound but never got on one and just recently learned that one needs a ticket to travel from one state to another. When I wanted to visit a nearby city, it seemed like the cheapest way. I decided that I could do it by getting a bus ticket, but the result was disappointing for a clueless 25-year-old like me who knew nothing of this world. The bus ticket was very cheap which was surprising. For a moment I wondered if it was too good to be true. On the downside though, the bus did not even have proper A/C. Being mid-July, it was definitely uncomfortable being inside a sizzling bus for a 3-hour ride, and I remember thinking how great the journey would have been with a good AC installed in it. It was too hard to keep enjoying myself for the whole ride and I kept wondering if other buses in the future will have similar issues with their heating & cooling systems. I still don’t know if this is a norm with buses though since I had not been in one before. But then again I’ve gotten on airplanes before and some had bad cooling systems too.
