It’s been a big year for us.

And I know it’s been an even bigger year for our kids! It’s like they are encountering a whole new world.

My husband and I decided not to raise our kids in the city, then that meant moving out of the apartment building with the intense radiant heating. But it’s not as though we just moved out to the suburbs either. In fact, my great friend and I moved way past the suburbs and all the way out to a unquestionably rural community. My husband and I are in a position that my great friend and I can labor remotely from home, sometimes, my great friend and I have to leave the central a/c of our up-to-date place to go into the neighborhood for work… Yet primarily, my great friend and I are out here and out here to stay. But it’s been a sizable change for our kids. They left the only environment they knew to suddenly be out in nature where things are much easier and much quieter. And where they live is much weird as well. My great friend and I bought an old farm house that sits on 10 acres. The beach house itself is somewhat modernized. It has an upgraded home office along with other modern amenities. But the central a/c is limited to just the first floor, so we wanted the kids rooms to be upstairs. So the local heating and air conditioning corporation installed a series of ductless heat pumps for quality heating and air upstairs. Hopefully, my kids will continue to transition to our new life in a positive way. And I suppose the good heating and cooling upstairs is part of that new reality.
