When my relationship with my ex was rocky, it was my brother who became my rock. He made sure my ex was aware he was checking in on me. At one time things got so bad that he was physical. I ran with our son, hid in the bathroom, and called my brother. That same night he arrived with his wife who is a no nonsense woman, packed our things, and took us away. It was the last time I set my eyes on my ex, and I always say my brother saved me. See, it’s been the two of us for many years, and he’s never stopped taking care of me. My brother works as a HVAC technician in a small town. He started by being an apprentice for a fellow who was an independent HVAC technician. After 6 years, my brother branched out on his own and has been doing an amazing job. The people in the community love him because he charges a fair fee, and always helps those in need. My brother even began repairing old HVAC systems so he could sell them cheap to folks who can’t afford a new unit. When my son and I came to live with him, I needed a job, so my brother put me in charge of his bookkeeping. I’ve always been good with accounting and even pursued it as a course in college. After some time, I saved enough money and bought a small one bedroom house not too far away. My brother helped me install a new cooling system in it after we did a few repairs to make it livable.
