My son took plumbing in technical school.
When my son got to high school, he chose to go to the local technical school where he could do his major.
He wanted his major to be plumbing.
He got all the classes necessary to graduate, but he would also come out as a plumber. I wasn’t sure if he would stay with the classes, but I let him go. I had heard a lot of good things about the tech school; and they were all good. I paid the tuition and waited until the end of summer when the school year started again. My son was gungho when we signed the papers, but when it came time to go to school, he had already changed his mind. He no longer wanted to be a plumber, but an electrician. Then he thought he might want to be a barber. He also teetered on going for auto repair. Luckily, he had four semesters, and he could try each profession during his first year. I kept hoping he would go with auto repair, because everyone knows how expensive car repairs are. At the end of the school year, he weeded out barber school and became an electrician. He told his dad he wanted to stick with plumbing. He spent the next three years taking plumbing in technician school. I had to admit that I was happy when he was able to repair my water heater. Other than that, he told me I had to pay just like all his other customers, once he got his license and the distinction of master plumber.
