Hiring a cleaning company to help out my parents
My mother turned eighty-one years old last month, however she remains easily physically fit, mentally sharp and independent.
She has no problem driving anywhere she wants to go.
She goes out to dinner with friends, is active on the neighborhood board and takes a senior’s fitness class every week. While my mother is enthusiastic to grocery shop, make her own meals, mow the grass and wash her house, she needs some help, however there are household tasks that are too physically demanding. She has some problems with her hips and knees, making it tough for her to squat or sit down; My sibling and I have hired some professional services to make life a bit easier for her. The people I was with and I have busy a grass crew to trim the shrubs and trees, wash out the gutters and perform any of the greater outdoor tasks. We’ve also busy a professional cleaning company to take care of the more intensive indoor tasks. The cleaning company shows up twice per month. They wash the overhead light fixtures and wash the windows. They steam wash the carpets, wash behind the furniture and scrub the tubs and toilets. They take care of cleaning the aerators on the faucets, change the batteries in the smoke detector and wash the inside of the refrigerator and stove. At first, my mother was resistant to the system of strangers coming into her home. My sibling and I convinced her to just supply the system a try, and once she saw what a great task the professionals did, she was actually enthusiastic to have some assistance.
