My friend has three sons. Her oldest son loves to play pranks on his mother. He recently had the idea to close the air conditioning vents in the house during the summer to play a prank on his mother while she worked from home one day. My friend told me all about this story. She is a therapist and she has a home office where she conducts virtual therapy sessions with patients. Her son knew that she had a very busy day, so he was able to close the vents while she was not paying attention. It was a super hot and humid day outside, so he knew his mother would feel the effects of the air conditioning not working properly. She had back to back therapy sessions and she started feeling sweaty. She thought she may be starting menopause and having a hot flash, but she realized that is probably not the case. She had a brief moment in between sessions to look at her app on her phone for the smart thermostat. It was odd because the smart thermostat said the air conditioning was on, but she did not feel any air coming out whatsoever. She did not have much time to investigate before her next client, so she kept sweating it out. She had the hottest, most uncomfortable day because she did not have much time to stop and troubleshoot.
