I usually do not run out of propane before the end of the year.

I try to get enough fuel for the Winter and then a little bit extra.

I also have the oil furnace and heating company out to check the fuel levels in January. They give myself and others a report so I can see where I am at for the season. I was particularly surprised when I came home to a cold house. The first thing that I thought was that I ran out of propane. This sort of concern has happened in the past and the issue is the same. The fan blows but there is no hot air coming out of the system. I contacted the heating company and I told them that I needed a fuel delivery. I sincerely never thought that there was a opportunity that the concern could be something else. The fuel truck arrived around 6:30 at night. It was dark outside but they give gas until 9:00 p.m. The guy knocked on my door and I thought he was going to hand myself and others an invoice. He gave myself and others the levels from the tanks and told myself and others that I did not need fuel. He believed there could be a concern with the gas lines that lead to the house. He recommended myself and others to contact the repair service to check this issue, because it absolutely was not a concern with the fuel. I was completely shocked and particularly sad, because I never had any problems with the oil furnace. I did not have any idea how much those repairs were going to cost.
