I wanted wooden furniture for the house.
I wanted wooden furniture for the house.
I only wished I had said something to him before he went to all the trouble
I told my brother I wanted new wooden furniture for the house for Christmas. I specified the sizes of the table and chairs and let him know I also wanted a new sofa that had wooden legs and arms. I gave him the picture of the sofa I was looking for. My brother worked in a furniture store, and I was hoping he could get me some good bargains. Apparently, when I gave him the sizes, I forgot a number, and it came out inches instead of feet and inches. He brought me a dollhouse full of furniture items. They were truly wooden furniture for the house, but he made them for a dollhouse. He said it would be cheaper if he made the wooden furniture than if he bought it. I didn’t know if I wanted to laugh or cry. I asked why he thought I wanted dollhouse furniture and he showed me the measurements I had given him. Although I knew what I wanted for the house, I hadn’t specifically told him I wanted it for my house. The wooden furniture was beautiful, and I couldn’t deny he was a genius when making wooden furniture. I only wished I had said something to him before he went to all the trouble. I smiled, so he knew I was angry, and made the comment that all he needed to do now, was make a dollhouse to put all this stunning furniture into. He told me he had already thought of this and only had to put the tiles on the roof and the lights in the rooms. He was working on some electric issues.
