You know, it’s interesting how my wife and I met.

We actually were both at this ‘hike for a special cause’ event.

It was a truly overheated day and we both had some interesting causes when we started speaking to each other. It was her who actually came up to me because she thought it was funny that I was wearing a cooling hat. I had the cooling fan clipped on the hat and everything. She said something like, “Man, you take your cooling very seriously!” She was laughing at me and poking fun for a little while, but then we talked about more interesting topics while we were hiking together. It was actually so fun just walking and talking that it seemed the time just went by in an instant. I asked her out after that and she agreed to go out with me. We have experienced many romantic dates, but we have always been the opposite in many ways. For starters, we never have been able to agree on the temperature control settings at home. Most of the time, she just doesn’t want to waste energy. She’s all about the energy saving tips and we have saved a lot because of her, but life isn’t as comfortable for me when we are hardly using the central cooling system. I have even suggested that we go for a zoned HVAC system which I think would solve our problems, but she says it’s a waste of money to buy something we don’t necessarily need since we have a working HVAC system.
