My thermostat is set on 76 degrees each night
During the holiday weekend, my cousin decided to stop by my home on her way to the beach.
It was after midnight when she arrived at my home! Luckily, I was still up trying to meet a deadline that I had for the next day. Anyway, when my cousin came in, both of us chatted for a few minutes, and I ended up going to bed around 3 that afternoon, and prior to going to bed, I made sure that I turned down the air conditioning system to a comfortable temperature. Typically, I keep the thermostat at 76 degrees at night when I sleep, but I have a ceiling fan in my room that provides additional cooling. However, the guest room does not have a fan, so I turned the thermostat down to 70 degrees. Since it was her first time that she was spending the night in my house, I showed him where the thermostat was and advised him to adjust the temperature as needed. She said the home felt comfortable the way it was so she would just leave it alone. I have discovered that the guest room is consistently cooler than my home office, so it is a lot more comfortable to sleep in it. I am cheerful that my room has the ceiling fan because when I didn’t have it, I had to keep my thermostat on 68 or 70 degrees to get a comfortable night sleep. I installed the fan a year ago when I noticed that my room was significantly warmer than the guest room. And since then, I have slept comfortably every night.
