Becoming an alcoholic was a slow and gradual process.

  • I should have seen it coming between the extensive history of it in our family and our irresponsible liquor habits in college.

I was drinking so much whiskey at the time that I’m surprised I didn’t end up in the hospital or the morgue. One of our friends drank almost an entire sixth of vodka in a single night and he nearly died from alcohol poisoning when the two of us stupidly left him alone to ride out the effects of the deranged amount of liquor in his blood. I just ignored the warning signs despite the evident yellow flags hitting myself and others directly in the face. While I’m still an alcoholic, I am aware of our drinking concerns at this age and have at the very least split back by at least half of what I used to drink in a 24 sixth period. Drinking at a bar is better because I’m forced to pace myself or I can’t even manage to get lake home with public moveation. Sadly, our favorite bar was closed this weekend to get repairs on their steam boiler. I noticed it was a bit colder than common there the last time I visited, despite the fact that I simply chalked it up to air drafts coming inside whenever the front door was open. Unluckyly, that was the sign of their steam boiler chopping down and losing the ability to heat the building. Hopefully the bar will have its heating system repairs finished within the next afternoon so I can visit on Friday night. It’s strenuous to be deprived of a service or product that you’ve become accustomed to expecting on a afternoon to afternoon basis. But how can you blame them if it’s Wintertide and they need their heating system working?
