The drain cleaning helped with water flow problems
After I moved into the rental house, I noticed some problems with drainage in the bathtub in the master bathroom. The water slowly drained. Eventually all of the water went down the pipe, but the bottom of the tub consistently filled up with water while I was taking a shower. It was a huge pain in the butt to stand in the soapy water and it was a safety issue. It was really easy to slip and fall in the water. I contacted the landlord, and he told me to buy a bottle of Drano. I bought the drain cleaning product and followed the directions on the back of the package. I waited 24 hours, but the drain was still moving slowly. My landlord refused to contact a plumber. I searched for a plumber near me that was inexpensive. I had a difficult time finding a plumber near me that was reasonable. I didn’t have any idea what was wrong with the drain and that made things even more difficult when I was trying to explain the problem to the plumbing company representative. A technician came to the house and the guy cleaned out the drain line. He removed the metal part from the tub and used a long cord to snake the drain. The plumber removed a lot of hair, paper, and undissolved matter from the drain line. He also removed a couple of small pebbles. The pebbles looked like the type of rocks you might find in a fish tank. The plumber suggested the rocks had been in there for a while, possibly from the previous tenant in the house.
