I’m thankful for all the aspects of air conditioning
The time for bracing and prepping is over.
The summer is here and the heat and humidity are on.
If you’re not ready now for the heat of summer, you better get busy. For me, summer heat preparations begin in the spring. Once the temperatures start to rise in early March, I normally call the HVAC company to get the HVAC maintenance done on the HVAC equipment. That’s where any sort of summer prep should start. By getting the air conditioning tune-up done in the spring, I know two important things are going to happen over the summer. First, the HVAC unit will be ready for the big load it has to deal with when it comes to air conditioning all summer. But maybe more importantly, the HVAC equipment is in tip top shape which allows for it to perform the HVAC cooling job at peak efficiency. And that’s a big part of dealing with the summer heat. I also make sure I get a good seal on my home. That means sealing some gaps on the exterior and making sure the weather stripping is in good shape. The heat pump is so important and not just for the HVAC cooling. That cooling process is also balancing the humidity levels inside the house. And that is a very important component to the HVAC cooling process. That humidity balance does a couple of things. First, it makes the air inside the house feel so much more crisp and cool. More importantly, reducing the humidity level and keeping it balanced mitigates the mold growth in the house. That’s so important when it comes to general cleanliness and respiratory health.
