We made a cake, some cookies, and some brownies.

Ever since I moved out of my parents house, it had been a difficult transition. I’m doing just fine on my own and all, as a matter of fact things are going great, it is just that, as much as I complained when I was living at home, I have found myself missing my mom and dad. So I try to visit them as often as possible. One of my favorite activities that I used to do when I was a little kid was to bake things with my mom. Admittedly, back then she did most of the baking and I did most of the tasting, as would be expected of a kid. Thankfully things have not changed too much because my mom and I still love to bake things together. Just yesterday, she invited me over to do some all day baking, and I was elated when she did! I headed over there on a Saturday when I had my time off, and we spent all day making all sorts of delicious treats. My dad always loved it when we made things, mostly because the final result was him getting to eat some. We made a cake, some cookies, and some brownies. The only downside to doing a lot of baking is that the house will quickly fill with all kinds of unwanted odors. But thankfully this was something that my parents did not have to worry about because they had long ago updated it to a very nice heating and cooling system. They had picked an HVAC contractor that gave them the best heating and cooling unit money could buy, and to ensure that they would continue to have excellent indoor air quality, they added a HEPA filter to the unit. Now the HVAC system removes all the odors from the air before they even have a chance to gather.
