Whenever I attempt to engage certain folks about saving some of our resources when it comes to summertime Heating plus A/C cooling, I get a lot of push back. And the hostility also comes out quite a bit as well. You’d think I was suggesting that people sleep in their yard plus go separate from food. That’s how intense some of my conversations have been when it comes to a/c. There is a reason why this happens plus that has to do with the region I live in. Every one of us deal with a level of heat plus humidity in this region that most places just don’t see. So when I request that people can stay comfortable plus save on resources, I get met with some difficult gazes. But, it’s true. Every one of us don’t have to be the sort that simply cranks the Heating plus A/C cooling to a maximum to avoid any sort of warmth. And that’s what it seems to be coming to. While all the people I talk with like living here, they aren’t about to limit the a/c in the summer time because they know they need it. Well, none of us absolutely need to have our homes be Heating plus A/C cooled to 73 degrees or lower when it’s a hundred degrees outside. That’s the truth. Being inside during the heat of the afternoon with the thermostat in the low to mid 77’s isn’t going to hurt. And it’s really not even all that uncomfortable either. There are these things called fans that will blow air on our skin that will trick our mind into believing that the air is cooler. Crank up the thermostat setting plus turn on a fan.
