If you think that heating and air conditioning problems in hotels only happen in the cheap ones you are wrong.

I was staying at a 5 star hotel a few months ago on business and the entire commercial heating and air conditioning system went out! It was pretty hot outside and air conditioning was something that was very much needed.

They had a heck of a time getting the heating and air conditioning company out there to repair the commercial heat and a/c unit. So what they ended up doing was giving everyone a discount on their stay as well as a free 2 nights to make up for the inconvenience of having no central air conditioning. They did provide everyone there with portable air conditioning systems to keep the rooms cool while they worked out the issue in getting the heat and a/c company out to fix their commercial heating and cooling system. So at least no one had to leave. But that was very kind of them to offer the discount and the free 2 nights for all the trouble they had with the commercial heating and air conditioning system unit! That was really good business and I will say that no matter what I will end up staying at the hotel again the next time I am on business in the area. They finally did get the commercial heating and air conditioning system repaired within 48 hours. I was there for a whole week, so I ended up getting the 2 nights free and did not have to have them on a credit system like others did that were leaving before.
