This is why I like to sleep with a fan on every night beside my bed. It helps take away the high pitched ringing that I always have in the background of my life. At first it drove me crazy, but then I got used to it. I like to run my air conditioning fan during the day for this reason too. It helps absorb the sounds that come with living in a multi family building such as mine. I’m sure that the fan in the air conditioner costs money to run each day but the peace of mind that comes along with it is worth the few extra dollars. After all, what is the price tag for peace of mind nowadays? I like the new HVAC technology that makes our lives a little more convenient and saves us some money. The newer units are much more energy efficient which is great for penny pinchers like me. I used to be afraid to turn on the air conditioners 35 years ago because it cost so much money to run. Now, I bet it costs a third of the price to run that it used to, due to the efficient technology that has come out on the market.
