It’s a funny these things that we believe to be true even though we can’t see the whole picture.

Honestly, the whole world is full of such situations.

And those who are so fervently in need of being correct are the ones who simply get it the least. Or at least that seems to be the situation. For me, I’m forever running into things that I thought were one way but weren’t. Take the HVAC equipment and my home for example. I would be what you might call a clean freak with less emphasis on the freak. It’s not like I just lose it if dirt gets tracked in the house or the dog barf or something. That’s just part of it. But I’m also very into making sure our home is clean and in order. You can ask my husband who tries to sneak time in the air conditioning instead of helping me clean. But what I thought was an ultra clean house, really wasn’t so much. And that became clear one day while I was leaning against the kitchen counter. I happened to see a glob of dust and debris fall from the HVAC air vent. I couldn’t quite believe it so I got out the ladder for a better look. And that HVAC air vent was atrocious. I immediately called the HVAC company thinking something was wrong. They kindly made an appointment for me to have the ductwork cleaning and ductwork resealing that I so badly needed. Those air ducts probably hadn’t ever been cleaned with the amount of ick that came out of them. But the resulting indoor air quality is magnificent and quite a surprise really.
