I’m so thankful for the kindness of strangers.

Without good people on this earth, where would we be? I believe that I will be paying crazy high heating bills again this winter.

This is something I believe for a fact because I had no idea how to prepare for a northern winter. I’m from the west where winter time is just not a big deal unless you live in the mountains. Where I came from we had a heat pump and it came on now and again while I was in the winter. So when I took a job on the other side of the country and way up north, I had no idea what I was unquestionably getting into. But man, did I ever get a quick rude awakening. All of us moved in the fall and I was instantly startled by how cool it was already. This was not a good sign of things to come. Fortunately, the previous owner believed in unquestionably good residential heating and air conditioning. The house had a gas furnace that was just more than one years old. The realtor advised me to get the HVAC corporation to do the heating maintenance which I promptly had done. But that’s all I knew to do. I had no idea how to prepare the house. So there were some spaces that were allowing frigid air in and the heating to escape. That first winter time saw the gas furnace running near non stop and yet there was such a draft that we were unquestionably frigid that whole winter. Thankfully, my neighbor straightened me out and we chased down that heating goblin together. It’s going to be a much warmer winter time this year.
