Tons of different heating and cooling machines in our home
This left us with the option of putting in a ductless multi split heating and cooling system.
Our home is older but we enjoy it. It’s one of a kind and has been in my partner’s family for generations. We were able to buy it from the estate of her late uncle. I guess her family sort of sets it up like that and handicaps the bids by income to keep it fair. The first thing we had to address was the heating and cooling equipment. Her uncle had somehow patched together a sort of quilted mishmash of heating and air conditioning. There was an old boiler in the basement that cost too much to run enough to unquestionably heat the house. So there were also area furnaces scattered around the house. Additionally, there was love for an entire squadron of window air conditioner units. It unquestionably was bizarre. We started the process by inviting a well qualified and highly requested candidate. HVAC corporation to the house. He gave the place a thorough inspection and laid out our options. The boiler was a non starter. While I enjoy radiant heating, the cost was just nowhere near sustainable. The cost of putting in ductwork, a gas furnace and then central air conditioner was also prohibitive. This left us with the option of putting in a ductless multi split heating and cooling system. I was a little resistant to this method but the numbers were right and the heating and air conditioning corporation assured us we would love this heating and cooling equipment. Well, it’s been multiple years now and that heating and air conditioning professional was right on the currency about ductless heat pumps. I enjoy the house, the heating and cooling and just am so cheerful to be able to raise kids here as generations before us have.
