On Friday morning, I want to work expecting a very long day.

Friday is always a busy day at work, because we don’t have regular services scheduled on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday and Sunday are days that we only offer emergency repairs and services. Any jobs that need to be completed before the end of the week, have to be finished by the end of the day on Friday. I had a ductless AC installation in the morning and two air conditioner repairs in the afternoon. I knew it was going to be a long day, so I was really upset when the ductless AC installation job took twice as long to complete. I ran into a couple of different problems. The customer did not have enough room in the electrical box for the additional machine, so I had to call an electrician and wait for someone to fix that problem. I went to lunch while I was waiting for the electrician to arrive. I installed the ductless AC with very little problems, but the customer was unhappy with the placement of the machine. We discussed everything ahead of time, so it was impossible for me to move the ductless AC once it was installed. The customer was unhappy and called my boss to complain. Thankfully, he agreed with me. The two routine repairs that Friday ended up being long and difficult problems. I didn’t get home from work until almost 9pm on Friday. Thankfully, I didn’t have to go back to work until Monday morning. I needed a couple of days to rest and relax after that long day.
