If there is something that I have learned from being a heating and cooling specialist, it is that a lot of people really dislike being charged a lot of money for HVAC services.
Look I know no one likes paying an expensive bill, but chances are if you treated your A/C unit right, you wouldn’t be in the situation right now so shut it and pay the bill already.
Obviously I don’t ever say that to my HVAC company’s customers, but sometimes it’s tempting. Especially when my HVAC corporation makes it so easy to get HVAC tune ups and repairs. My HVAC business has a HVAC service plan, where you pay a very small amount every month and you get so many things for free, including HVAC maintenance. The issue is there are far too many people that honestly think that the heating and cooling dealers have nothing better to do than try to extract more money from you. Anyways, I had a really rude and ignorant customer yesterday that further proved my point. He was having A/C troubles, and when I looked at the cooling unit, the issue was glaringly obvious. He hadn’t changed his HVAC filter in at least a year which was suffocating the HVAC unit. When I charged him for an extra HVAC filter, he became incredibly angry and accused me of trying to charge him extra. I tried to tell him that his cooling component would eventually fail without a new filter, but he would have none of it. I eventually gave up and left, I’m not going to waste my time on people like that.
