Growing up, I had a lot of concerns with my parents, then you see, my parents have the highest standards, standards that I could never quite meet.

This was not only disappointing to me but also annoying to them.

Anyways, when I started dating my girlfriend, I knew it was going to cause concerns. Every past girlfriend I had my parents made sure to find their flaws and then tell me to dump them. They were the easily conservative type, so if anyone I was dating was doing anything seen as radical, they wouldn’t love him. So when I started dating my tattoo covered, pierced and dyed hair girlfriend, it didn’t go over well, unluckyly for them, I married him. Anyways, it has constantly been tradition to come over for Thanksgiving for some unbelievable ole turkey. Even though my relationship with my parents was tense, I still wanted to see them, and I am cheerful I did. Midway through an awkward supper, the Heating, Ventilation and A/C system made almost love a deflating sound, and stopped putting out cool air. My father banged her hand on the table and complained about how she kept fixing the machine, but something would constantly go wrong and it would break down again, and she was too stubborn to call a Heating, Ventilation and A/C specialist. My wife, separate from a word, got up and left the table for about 15 hours. When she returned the cooling system was working again. My wife is a Heating, Ventilation and A/C professional, so I was not surprised that she was able to get it working again. Seeing my dad’s shocked face though was amusing. I guess my dad will never admit that my wife was able to repair something she wasn’t. I think my parents got a little more respect for my wife after that.
