You need a furnace that compliments your needs.
If you are the type of person that insists on certain fuels for your heating needs, you will understand what I am saying. I was brought up with a gas furnace, and I wanted to continue using a gas furnace. While growing up, I just knew that we had amazing heating. When I bought my home and needed a new furnace, I wanted to switch from the oil furnace to a gas furnace. I didn’t know anything about choosing the right furnace. I soon realized that I needed a furnace that was suited to the size of my home. You don’t want a furnace that is going to overwork, but you don’t want it to be sluggish either. Too large of a furnace will tend to recycle often and that will raise your energy bills. Too small of a furnace will cause the furnace to run all the time. Not only will energy bills be high, but the furnace won’t run efficiently. I also realized there is an AFUE rating on each gas furnace. AFUE stands for annual fuel utilization efficiency. This number can run from 80%, which is the lowest rating the US allows for all new gas furnaces; to 98.5%, which is the most efficient. This shows how much of the fuel your furnace consumes, actually goes into heating the home. I wanted to have the highest AFUE I could have on the furnace I chose. All furnaces have their own design and value. I wanted a furnace that would go with my personal needs in both design and efficiency.
