At the same time, I have to be very careful about my workaholic tendencies. I have a hard time shutting my computer at the end of the day and disconnecting from my job. This can obviously cause mental health issues. That’s why I’ve been working very hard to reduce my energy bill so that I can also reduce my work output. I realized that my energy bill was one of my most expensive problems every month. It seems like every time the energy bill arrived in the mail I could predict that there would be an enormous charge. Unfortunately, I think that most of my energy expenditure is due to my central heating, cooling, and air quality control system. I absolutely will not be getting rid of my air conditioning unit or forced air furnace anytime soon oh, so I have to be careful about touching my thermostat. For the most part, I have been successful with setting a temperature control program and leaving my thermostat settings alone. However, the other day I wandered into my neighbor’s house and I had a lot of questions about their HVAC plan. Specifically, how do they afford to pay for their heating? The house was so hot and dry when I walked in that it felt like a desert. I didn’t want to say anything about their thermostat or energy bill, but that’s what was on my mind. In the end, I just ran back to my own HVAC and cranked up the AC to unwind.
