I guess I like to learn the hard way, because guess what happened? Yep, it broke, again

You would think that I would have learned with my past air conditioner, but I guess I haven’t. In my previous house, I had a perfectly functioning A/C. Well, since I love to have my air conditioner blasting at all hours, I would turn it up as much as possible and leave it running 24/7, without any breaks. It turns out this is really bad for it, and my HVAC unit only lasted a few more years after that. Well, I was moving anyway so that didn’t concern me all that much, the new owners will get stuck with the broken cooling unit. When I moved in with my wife, she also had a great HVAC machine. Unfortunately, I gave it the same treatment as my previous HVAC. My wife questioned me and asked me if that was even healthy for the heater and A/C. I assured her that it would be fine, as I honestly thought that it would happen twice in a row. I guess I like to learn the hard way, because guess what happened? Yep, it broke, again. When searching up potential reasons, my wife became pretty mad when she saw that running all of the time was one of the reasons to have a heating and cooling unit break early. Now, she’s banned me from all HVAC responsibilities, she’s now decided she will make all of the decisions from there on, which I find kind of annoying. But admittedly, I kind of have a track record for breaking things, so I can’t really say I blame her either.
