Fighting for control over the furnace

Fighting for control over the furnace

Sometimes I feel like my girlfriend and I have a love hate relationship.

Because sometimes it feels like we are inseparable and laughing and enjoying each other’s company. Other days, it’s like world war 3. Fighting, screaming and throwing things at each other, it can reach unhealthy levels. I know I should probably leave, but I just can’t get enough of her, there is just something that is addictive. I guess it’s from the highs I get when we are together and everything is great, and then the dread when everything goes south. The unpredictable nature has me on edge and I love it. Anyways, we had just gotten over another peaceful phase, when something set her off again. This time, it was the air conditioning unit. She yelled at me to stop switching the cooling unit down. Her preferred temperature was exactly 74 degrees. Mine was 72 degrees. She turned the A/C back up, but I told her that there is no need for the cooling unit to be that high, it’s in the middle of spring and it’s going to heat up and make the house warmer anyways. She disagreed and since we kept switching the thermostat when the other wasn’t looking, this led her to give me the cold shoulder. Looks like we are back to fighting, and I can’t believe it’s something as small as the HVAC unit. Anyways, we did eventually get it figured out, it’s not a permanent 73 degrees. Fighting over the heater and A/C was probably one of our dumbest fights.
