Right before my college exams the school boiler system went out. The college couldn’t legally allow the students to attend classes with no heat. Since there was literally one week until the students were off for months at a time, the college needed a temporary fix. One day the boiler was busted and everyone got the day off from school. The next day there was a mobile boiler system right next to the college campus. A mobile boiler unit is a giant box that contains the boiler and all the equipment inside. There was even a man in the box operating the heating system. The heat was back up and running the very next day. The boiler rental company must have gotten a mobile boiler unit sent to campus within 12 hours. That is a really impressive feat considering that our college is in the middle of nowhere. You wouldn’t know anything was different at school other than the giant metal box that was on campus. I was able to do exam week with proper heating. Now the college has tons of backup options in case the new boiler ever goes out. I got to enjoy the one and only day the college campus would close for a heating emergency. It was cool to see how quickly a college can fix a boiler issue. I never would have thought I would learn and find a mobile boiler neat too.
