There are many types of instances when I wish I could just stop what I’m doing, consider the implications and then stop before I do something stupid.

But, that’s just me.

There is just this part of me that leads ego and pride to get the better of my good judgement. No, I’m not a big macho genre chick, not at all. I just sometimes get out over my skis and it ends badly when it doesn’t need to. For example, take what just happened to my Heating, Ventilation & A/C. I had noticed that something was going on with the heating & cooling method for almost a week. And each afternoon, it appeared to get just that much more noticeable. It wasn’t even full on summer time heat yet but the cool air just wasn’t genuinely blowing from the vent. This was unfamiliar and I should have just called the Heating, Ventilation & A/C professionals right away. But, being the way I am, I decided to investigate the situation on my own. I started by having a look at what I could find on the internet. It appeared to me that the issue was a low refrigerant level. Shortly after that, I chose to have a try at maintenance without the help of a certified Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional. I went to the hardware store and obtained a Heating, Ventilation & A/C recharge kit. I still genuinely had no idea what I was doing and of course, I overfilled the compressor and damaged it. With that being said, I did finally make that call to the Heating, Ventilation & A/C professionals. I was just far too late with it.
