It seems as though we have all been through quite a lot already with the pandemic. But, it is about to be even tougher. With the onset of winter, the virus looks to do a great deal more spreading. Since we are already basically staying inside the HVAC controlled safety of our home, we at least have that going for us. In fact, my family and I have taken every precaution suggested by the science. Our new normal is all about social distance, mask wearing and washing our hands all the dang time. But that doesn’t mean that we can’t improve the situation. This is why a recent study I found has made me change up the HVAC system a bit. First, I bought and installed new HEPA type HVAC air filters. Next, I called the HVAC people to have them come out and install a whole house air purifier. According to the study I read, the combination of HEPA type filters and a whole house air purifier can actually mitigate the spread of Covid. New findings conclude that this HVAC combination will remove Covid airborne particulates within 30 minutes. While this doesn’t completely change the game or anything, it is something. Having a whole house air purifier and HEPA type air filters will indeed add another layer of protection from this potentially deadly virus. It was worth the added expense just to feel like I was actually doing something, anything to fight back against this pandemic. Plus, it’s great to have the peace of mind knowing that my family is breathing the highest quality indoor air possible.
