Had to change how I workout

Had to change how I workout

Before I had little kids I used to blast music and jump rope. Sometimes I would jog in place, do tuck jumps or kicks in the house. My workouts consisted of only cardio and were very loud. My husband used to leave the house during my workout I made so much noise. With little kids I don’t have the time that I used to have. The only moment I get is during their hour nap. I don’t want to wake my kids up so I have needed to change how I work out. Rather than jumping and hopping around, I try to move very little. For the first time in my life I am weight training. I lift free weights to target all areas of my arms. I also do sit ups and body holds to tone my abs and legs. When I am being super ambitious I will find an online fitness video and mute it for myself. I have found that yoga courses are the best ones for me. I don’t need to hear what the fitness expert is saying. The body holds get me tired, sore and sweaty. I get to work my legs, belly and arms all simultaneously if I find a hard enough video. If the kids sleep a little longer, I then do an intense ab workout. I will hold planks, crunch with my feet in the air and target side abs. I do miss jumping rope and blasting my music, but this is the best I get now. Someday I am hoping I can take my little kids to the track.
